Pharmacological category:
Anabolic androgenic steroid
Anabolic activity index: 100%
Androgenic activity index: 100%
Mechanism of action of the drug:
Testonon P contains testosterone propionate, which is the lipophilic form 4-androstene-3-one, 17β-ol of the androgenic hormone testosterone, for intramuscular injection. A short ester is attached to the testosterone propionate. As a result, 100 mg of testosterone propionate contains 83.72 mg of testosterone, an amount greater than that of any other ester-based testosterone preparation with a comparable total dosage.
Side effects:
Propionate is a relatively safe medication, as it rarely causes side effects. Except in overdoses, the liver and kidneys are not affected. Acne, gynecomastia, and inhibition of testosterone secretion are real risks. After treatment, propionate should be used in conjunction with antiestrogens. Decreased testicle size, reduced spermatogenesis, increased aggression, voice changes, and increased libido are some of the other negative effects.
Dosage:
Testosterone propionate is administered by intramuscular injection. It should not be administered intravenously. Intramuscular injections should be given deep into the gluteal muscle.
Effective dose: 300-700 mg per week.
